Buddina is at the northern end of the Kawana waters development, starting at Wurtulla a the south and extending north to Point Cartwright at the mouth of the Mooloolah River. Buddina is home to the Kawana Shopping world recently redeveloped by Mirvac, including large department stores, bars and restaurants. There is now over 110 shopping outlets. Buddina is home to exclusive beachfront homes on Pacific Drive and is a tightly held and sought after suburb. Locals enjoy a morning jog La Balsa park for picnics by the river, a boat ramp with direct deep deep water ocean access. Buddina is also known for its great surf beaches which are friendly for dogs to be off leash. Morning joggers enjoy the run up to Point Cartwright, where there is a spectacular lookout where you can watch the ocean and see down to Moreton bay, or look back towards Mooloolaba. The light house and water tank are a popular destination. Kawana surf beach is one of the Sunshine Coast’s most popular surfing beaches. For families there is a swimming area at the mouth of the mooloolah river, and La Balsa park is a popular family destination for birthdays, weddings, BBQ’s or just a great catch up with friends. A boat ramp and pontoon is located just on Harbour Pde, which is ideal with close access to the mouth of the river, boaties can get easy access to the ocean with a very protected access to the pacific ocean.
Major regional transport links including public transport are all nearby giving the location a high quality connection with the whole Sunshine Coast region via easy access to the Nicklin Way and Sunshine Motorway, and in very close proximity to the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
