Kiels Mountain is named after Heinrich “Henry” August Keil who settled on the eastern slopes in 1880. The Bruce Highway borders the west of Kiels Mountain and Eudlo Creek passes through the southest tip. At the summit of Kiels Mountain is the oldest and longest-running Eastern retreat in Queensland, Avatar’s Abode. Keils mountain is home to some stunning architectural properties with spectacular elevated views in acreage and bush settings. Easily located between Nambour and Maroochydore, it is a great central location without the hustle and bustle.
