Nambour is a thriving rural community just a short distance west from the Sunshine Coast. Settled in the 1860’s Nambour was predominantly populated by miners down on their luck from poor returns on the Goldfields at Gympie.
Nambour has two hospitals, two state primary and high schools, a QUT campus and a showground. The main street of Nambour is the service hub for a substantial hinterland population and provides a diverse range of commercial facilities and social infrastructure. Small to medium acreage lots have been the preferred development in Nambour with the maintenance of lifestyle a major concern.
